Who needs a professional organizer?
Who needs a professional organizer?
Who DOESN’T need a professional organizer is a better question! Seriously, an organizer can help a wide variety of people. I’ve helped people who have let their space go for so long that they just don’t know where to begin. I’ve helped people who just have a few areas that they can’t get under control. I’ve helped busy business executives who are embarrassed about piles on their desks that won’t go away. All these people needed an organizer but not for the same reason.
What is the first step?
The first step is an assessment visit. The visit usually lasts about 30 minutes and during this time you’ll show me the space and I’ll ask questions and give you some tips to get started.
What happens during a visit?
Organizing visits are most efficient when done 2-4 hours at a time. During the organizing process, I will work with you or on my own, depending on your preference and the type of work involved. I can do the project almost entirely by myself, while you help with just the critical decisions. OR I can set up an organizational system that you can follow and implement on your own.
Will I need to buy products?
Sometimes all it takes is a well-placed product to free an entire area of clutter. In these cases I will purchase products for you, which will be charged to you at my cost. Most of the time, though, the best place to go shopping is your house.
How much does it cost?
There is no charge for the assessment visit, unless travel time is over one half hour. Organizing visits are billed hourly, due at the time of the visit. If given a budget up-front, I can develop a plan to fit any budget.
Are there any special rates?
My discount package for first time customers is one free hour for the first seven hours purchased, half of which is due upon work agreement.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 24 hours notice for all cancelled organizing sessions.
